Former Scottish National Endurance Coach and current IAAF Member Services Senior Manager
Peter Thompson will be in Glasgow to lead the 'Beginners' Coaching strand at the International Festival of Athletics Coaching (IFAC) at the end of the month.
Thompson has coaching experience from within Europe, Oceania, NACAC, Africa, Asia and South America.
His recent work with the IAAF includes writing ‘Introduction to Coaching’, the Official IAAF Guide to Coaching Athletics and editing ‘Run! Jump! Throw!’, the Official IAAF Guide to Teaching Athletics.
The Beginner strand of IFAC will focus on coaching beginners and will support the learning of coaches working within this environment.

Thompson over the IFAC weekend.
