A world class programme of speakers has been announced for the Paralympic strand of the International Festival of Athletics Coaching (IFAC) 2009.
Led by UKA Head Coach (Paralympics)
Peter Eriksson, delegates selecting the Paralympic workshops will be addressed by three additional world leading presenters.
Canadian Sports Psychologist
Dr. Penny Werthner will focus her session on the use of biological and neurological feedback to enhance an optimal performance state.
Doctor Wolfgang Potthast from the German Sports University, Cologne, will talk about differences between Paralympic gold medallist Oscar Pistorious (Blade runner) and able-bodied Olympic runners, while
Richard Brickley (Scottish Disability Sport) will deliver an insightful session on Paralympic Classification and will add a huge amount of experience from his roles within the highest levels of disability sport on the global stage.
Eriksson will add his own considerable experience in delivering a session on Physiological Differences for Wheelchair Athletes.
